Lupus rash forms

The skin rash in discoid lupus often is found on the face and scalp. A lupus rash can appear on the skin in many different forms and may or may not include additional sores (lesions).
Cutaneous lupus, because of the great deal of variability in the way that the skin rashes may appear, can be quite difficult to diagnose. However, a skin biopsy may be performed and this may be diagnostic.
The only way a cure is going to be found for Lupus is through research. It is important to support Lupus research by raising Lupus awareness, raising money for Lupus research, and participating in Lupus research studies.
